Facility instrument availability can be viewed on the calendar below. This calendar is read-only, meaning appointment times can be viewed, but not added or changed. To schedule an appointment for use of facility instrumentation, please email the core manager. An appointment must be made to use facility equipment. Instruments are available on a first come, first served basis.

Scheduling policies

Cancellation policies
Please see the Cancellation Policies page for information on cancellation and other fees (cancellation policies updated 8/4/2025). Please notify the facility in a timely manner if you need to cancel your appointment. Also, please notify core staff if you will be late to your appointment.

Facility and instrument hours
Facility business hours are 9am-5pm, Monday through Friday - the facility is closed on university holidays. Please see the facility calendar for additional closings.

All researchers interested in using the facility must attend a facility specific safety training. Please contact the core for more information.​

Instrument hours - vary by instrument, training and access

Instrument training - hybrid (Canvas + in-person)

Available for the CytoFLEX LX, MACSQuant VYB, and SH800 instruments

Training hours: 10:30am-4:30pm (please allow time for lunch)

Independent instrument use

Users who have shown proficiency in independent use may request to extend their appointment time to 5pm

After hours use

Users who have shown proficiency in instrument set-up and QC in addition to independent use may request after-hours authorization

Instrumentation is available 24/7, with an appointment

Please note that after-hours access is not automatic and additional instrument use and training may be required

Aria IIu and COPAS Select - these sorters are available for assisted-use only

Sorting hours: 10:30am-4:30pm (please allow time for lunch)

For Aria IIu sorting, please note at least 1 hour is needed to switch to a new nozzle between sorts
